Kentin dönüşümünü sembolize eden ilk eserdir.
Yapı, Kayseri İç Kalesi'nin kuzeybatı köşesinde yer almaktadır, Karamanoğulları tarafından aynı yerde daha önce bir mescidin yaptırdığı ancak Kayseri'nin Fatih döneminde kesin olarak Osmanlı imparatorluğu'na bağlanmasıyla bu mescidin yıkılıp yerine bugün ayakta bulunan caminin yaptırildiğı düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca kayitlarda, Fatih Sultan Mehmed Han'ın Vezir- Azam Gedik Ahmet Paşa tarafindan inşa ettirdiği belirtilmelidir. Caminin kitabesi olmadığı için inşa tarihi kesin olarak bilinmemektedir.
FATİH MOSQUE (MESCID-I AHMEDEK)
It is the first work to symbolize the transformation of the city.
The building is located in the northwest corner of Kayseri Inner Castle, it is believed that a mosque was built by Karamanoğulları in the same place, but this mosque was destroyed and replaced by a mosque standing today in the Fatih period during Kayseri's Fatih period. It should also be noted that Fatih Sultan Mehmed Han was built by Vizier- Azam Gedik Ahmet Pasha. Since the mosque does not have an inscription, the date of its construction is not known for certain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yıllar önce çocukken Kale içi manav bakkal çakkal (halkın deyimi ile) dolu idi. O zamanlar burada bir cami olduğunu sanırım kimse bilmiyordu.
Years ago, when I was a kid, the castle was full of greengrocers, grocers, and jackals (as the people say). I don't think anyone knew that there was a mosque here at that time.
