The location is fine, but the building looks very old, it gave me the impression that it is inadequate against the earthquake.

Bu üçlü yerli ve yabancı tüm turistler tarafından bol bol fotoğraflanırken Hükümet Konağı’nın Kurtuluş Savaşı’ndaki yerinden de bahsetmek gerek. 9 Eylül’de İzmir’in Yunan işgalinden kurtulması ve konaktaki bayrağın göndere çekilmesi; aynı zamanda savaşın da son bulmasını temsil ediyor.
Together with the Yali Mosque and the Clock Tower, we can say that the third most important work in Konak Square is the Government House. While this trio is photographed by all local and foreign tourists, it is necessary to mention the place of the Government House in the War of Independence. The liberation of Izmir from the Greek occupation on September 9 and the hoisting of the flag in the mansion; it also represents the end of the war.

The iconic places of Izmir. The point where the War of Independence ended with the hoisting of the Turkish Flag. The Provincial Mansion, Clock Tower, Yali Mosque, Hasan Tahsin First Bullet Monument and Konak Square are places that Izmir is proud of.

The very central area of İzmir.. one of the landmarks.... Kemeraltı bazaar is on the left of the central entrance.. right across from it is the clock tower that comes to mind when you say İzmir.
