I found Istanbul Sailing Academy after long searches and trials. My goal as Single Handed was to gain training and experience to manage a large sailboat. There is no recipe for the experience and pleasure I have experienced from my first class to my last class. The trainers' equipment, experience and methods of transferring them to you are very professional. They are very successful in making you enjoy and really learn and apply. In the last spring of 2019, we paid a total of 14 thousand TL in hand to İsmet Özbakır (!!!), whom we agreed with two families for 14 weeks of practical lessons through an acquaintance. We completed the first 6 weeks, albeit mediocre. We could not see the teacher we received for a week again, something else came or something ... We planned the lesson in advance, but the lesson was postponed because they rented the boat that day, etc. ! By stating that it did not respond to our subsequent communication efforts.

Unfortunately, it is one of the poorest quality sailing courses you will ever come across. After signing up for the Basic Yacht and Advanced Yacht Trainings (33 hours in total), we regretted a thousand times with both the inadequacy of the instructors and the poor management of the process in both cruises we took off. Our life safety was put in jeopardy due to the defective capstan and the defects in its chain by experiencing difficulties in berthing and leaving. They also SOLD their boats during the so-called training process. When we asked for the refund of our wages, they created a thousand problems and unfairly cut a large part of it. Such attitudes are completely officious, I would like you to know how frivolous they are, which does not care about customer satisfaction.
