A beautiful and spacious mosque in the right place

Although the exact date of construction of the mosque is not known, it is thought that it was built by Abdülkadir Isfahani in 1570, according to an inscription found during the repair works carried out by the General Directorate of Foundations in 1963. [1] On the other hand, according to some sources, the mosque was built in the 15th century and it is stated that it does not match other Ottoman buildings that are contemporary due to its architectural style. The ceiling, which is thought to have been built with a dome in its original form, has different features from the Ankara architecture of the period in terms of its covering system. In this context, it can be said that the building was designed and built mostly in accordance with the Seljuk architecture. [2] The mosque, which has been open to the use of the people of the region for many years since its construction, was turned into a museum warehouse in 1945 with the decision of the Council of Ministers. The building, which was renovated in 1973, 1977, 1987, 1993 and 2007, was opened to worship again after the last repair it saw. (Excerpt)
