★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nothing special with the architect but there is one interesting miracle. If you go to the fountain or a place to take ablution, try to stand face to face below the pillars, speak slow and you can hear your friend say something. But if you move to other pillar, you won’t. Try it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Try the şadırvan (fountain) which has some acoustic easter eggs.
Go there with a friend and surprise them by whispering to them accross the fountain. The dome is designed in a way that it transfers voice from a column to the opposite column.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the main masaajid in Konya for Jumuah it's old Seljuk style. What was amazing is the acoustic technology that they developed in the wudhu area a real surprise to this who don't take notice

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An unusual, plain building for a mosque. Only the single minaret is identifiable. Built in 1201 it’s has many columns inside so lacks the spacious, open feeling in domed mosques. It’s was also dimly lit inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing that a mosque could be built to look so much like a warehouse. Interior is certain nicer though. Compared to most of what the Seljuks were building during the 1200's this is a bit disappointing. Many of Konyas great monuments were built arou d this time. Looks to be heavily restored though so perhaps the exterior was once more ornate.
