 The İnönü monument is in the center of the city, in front of the government building, and it is surrounded by a large park. Recently, it has been named the 15th of July square. The monument is already the symbol of Malatya.

Vilayet Konağı önündeki meydanda bulunan anıtın yapımına 1946 yılında başlanmış, 1947 yılında bitirilmiştir. Heykeltıraşı Nejat Sirel ve Hakkı Atamulu’dur. Kaide kısmında antik beyaz taş kullanılmıştır. Anıtın dört cephesinde İstiklal Savaşı’na katılmış olan tam teçhizatlı Mehmetçik, elinde disk tutan genç bir sporcu, sol elinde kitabı, sağ elinde meşalesiyle bir öğrenci, buğday tarlası içerisinde kadın ve erkek çiftçi ve çekici ve örsüyle erkek figürleri bulunmaktadır
İnönü Statue - Malatya
The construction of the monument, located in the square in front of the Provincial Mansion, started in 1946 and was completed in 1947. Its sculptors are Nejat Sirel and Hakkı Atamulu. Antique white stone was used in the pedestal part. On the four fronts of the monument, there are fully equipped Mehmetçik who participated in the War of Independence, a young athlete holding a disc in his left hand, a book in his left hand, a student with a torch in his right hand, a male and female farmer in a wheat field, and male figures with hammer and anvil.

The İnönü monument, located in the square in front of the Malatya Provincial Mansion, is an angry İnönü statue in my opinion, it has a harsh expression. It was built in 1947. Its sculptors are Nejat Sirel and Hakkı Atamulu. Antique white stone was used in the base part. There are narratives about the war of independence on four sides of the monument. It is one of the places to be seen and photographed in Malatya.
