He was my guide, interpreter, logistician, morale officer, and designated storyteller. My understanding of the backcountry villages of Turkey, and my appreciation for the immensely deep culture of that beautiful corner of the planet, I owe to Deniz.
Cheerful, enterprising, tough, funny, utterly responsible--Deniz is the perfect partner in any adventure, small or large, that you may be planning. I recommend him highly.
