Hotel ibis Eskisehir

The air conditioning system didn't work and we had to stay under unacceptable and uncomfortable conditions. I couldn't sleep all-night. Poor management!

Travelling with a cat, Ibis was one the few choices we had to stay in Eskisehir. We checked the dates and prices online and then called to make the reservation. They told us they have special rooms for people with pets which cost a bit more; 50 TL a day and we agreed. They gave us room 217 at the end of the corridor on second floor with a garden view. The room was big enough with essential furniture and no train noise. Fairly clean, the building is a bit old therefore you may notice relevant problems like smelly drains or dingy sinks or spotted floors. Another problem was the shower. We saw shower cabins in other rooms while they were being cleaned, ours had a lousy curtain separating the shower and the toilet, so whenever took a shower the bathroom floor got flooded. It was disgusting. The flooring color in our room was also different. I guess maybe this room was not renovated and was left for people travelling with little hairy friends. Despite this “special” room issue, everything else was satisfactory. The staff were helpful and kind, the location is superb and the view was nice both for us and the cat. The surrounding streets are always crowded full of various restaurants, shops and parks. We didn’t even try the breakfast at hotel because lots of nice cafes were available nearby. You can just walk anywhere easily and the river is only 6-7 minutes away.

We used the hotel just for one day and it served to our needs very well.

My first visit for any kind of hotel in this pandemic conditions. Hotel is clean and very well prepared for covid restrictions. It is not so crowded as expected. Breakfast is prepared for every person. Only thing that worries me is closed restaurant for breakfast, there was no fresh air only air conditioner works.

The hotel is superb but the area around had an awful smell, which penetrates the rooms unfortunately.

Sometimes restaurant not picking up calls. Otherwise good staff, decent budget hotel.

Simple hotel nothing fancy, but very helpfull and nice staff, rooms small, but comfy. Prices are really low and only issue is air conditioning - in autumn you can only choose to heat room, but not cool.

Good budget hotel, comfortable. The furniture a bit worn out, but the bed was very good with good bedding and spotless bedsheets. The room temperature was excellent (warm enough). Good soundproofing windows. Excellent location next to train station and tram station.
