On the way to Van, we passed by, people admire those who lived in ancient times. When you look at how they built that castle with the facilities at that time, it is inconceivable. People built the Great Wall of China out of fear of the Turks. ?

Fantastik film sahnelerinden fırlamış gibi çok güzel bir yapı. Ancak ne bir görevli ne de bir sorumlu yok etrafta. Gelip etrafını ve köyü gezip harika fotoğraflar çekebilirsiniz. Bölge halkı inanılmaz sıcak kanlı. Her gören çaya davet ediyor, sohbet ediyor sizinle. 2 yıldız eksik verdim çünkü sahipsiz kalmış bir tarih.
It greets you with all its splendor on the Van - Hakkari highway. Hosap Castle, which was used as an Ottoman border post, stands alone as if forgotten and abandoned. It's a beautiful building, like it's straight out of a fantasy movie scene. However, there is neither an official nor a responsible person around. You can come and visit the surrounding and the village and take great pictures. The locals are incredibly friendly. Everyone who sees it invites you to tea and chats with you. I gave 2 stars less because it is an unclaimed history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This castle is in Güzelsu and not in Gurpinar. The Google Maps pin is in a completely wrong location. Tried fixing it but I’m not sure if it worked so make sure you have the correct location before you go!
