★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool. Big scale. Few tourists right now. Part of the 80 Lira entrance fee to the petrified water falls. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After ten years, I have visited again. It is a must place to visit in Turkey. I bought a museum card and a normal ticket. It cost 140 lira in total. Prepare yourself to walk about 7 km if you want to see all the remains and the Pamukkale travertine. Don’t forget to take some snacks and water before your trip.
( if you are planning to enjoy the thermal water, bring your swimsuits as well!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Ancient Roman Theater is well maintained and still stands tall till this date. There are 2 entry points to get here one via the Pamukkale hot springs and one gate via the ancient city which is 2 km away but worth the walk

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is located in the middle of Hierapolis and is very well preserved. it was built during the reign of Emperor Hadrian in 2nd century AD. In Emperor Severus period the cavea and the stage of theatre were restored by using the remains of another old theatre built earlier on the north of the city. Roman Theatre had a capacity of 8500 – 10000 spectators and was divided into two parts as upper and lower parts of seat by a diazoma.
People arranged concerts, religious ceremonies, competitions in this theatre. In the friezes of the theatre some mythological scenes had been depicted.
