★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visit the ancient city on 3rd Feb 2019 early morning. Place was so cool, lots of friendly cats. The theater was so huge its like a Colossians full of history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not bad ancient theater. We had to pay an extra 20 TL for an extended ticket just to see this, but nobody checked the tickets near the spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hierapolis is at the top of the Pamukkele hill and covers quite a large area that can be explored at leisure. At the top of the hill you can find the church of St Phillip and a byzantine monestry . There is also a thermal swimming pool where you can swim, it is included in the 60tl entrance ticket, but not the 80tl day ticket. The amphi theatre is very well preserved. We'll worth a visit if you are in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perhaps the best preserved / restaured theatre in Turkey giving the visitors a great feeling of what could have been the experience in such a place 2000 years ago. Together with the calcareous terraces, the theatre is definitely one of the highlights of Pamukkale site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was amazing! There are old theaters that we can see was at one time was marvelous - like Ephesus - but this theater could hold 12.5k people tomorrow and have a show! The preservation of the building was simply amazing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Something you must do in Hierapolis. It is a 15 min hike up the hill but the view is amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most people would go to the Hierapolis hotspring but this also is a show stealer. It used to be a theatre for ancient people and the sunset backdrop makes it a gorgeous place for photos. Do remember to wear shoes as the area is pretty rocky and uneven at times.
