Turkey’s number 1, Europe’s 2nd and the world’s 4th largest (in terms of both breed and size) Zoo. Awesome experience, especially for kids.

It's a nice place one can take his children to. All the animals are being taken good care of. There is a variety of wild animals tigers lions bears Pumas gorillas hippos crocodiles hyenas etc. My daughter likes the aquarium the best.

As said, this zoo is rhe largest in Turkey and the 4th largest in the world, it's located in Burc area just in the outskirts of Gaziantep, about 15 mins in car from the city center. Honestly, i didn't like the way the animals are living inside the zoo, most of the animals are living out of their natural habitat, and they were literally dying because of the hot and dry weather in Antep. Most of the animals in cages and the aquarium are badly preserved, with so many animals living inside small areas, i felt so sorry for vultures, which were left in small cages with low ceiling, the same applies for lamas, kangaroos, lions and tigers. When we visited, the zoo was extremely busy, thousands of people visiting at the same time, zero social distancing and precautions, we had to wait in line to capture viewing spots where you have to move in seconds to allow space for the next visitor. The only two good things in the zoo are the Safari, the only place where animals are living and moving freely, and the butterflies house, where climate was adjusted to suit the butterflies, and the latter were moving freely in the space.
