Whilst l do not use the transportation service, Havas is also responsible for loading, unloading and delivering suitcases at the airport in Antalya. Yesterday l flew from Manchester, UK, to Antalya via Sabiha Gokcen. Because my luggage was coming from overseas l waited at the transit belt. And waited. And waited. After 45 minutes a Havas representative led a dozen or so confused travelers to the belt. The representative was very polite and explained that there was only one guy to unload the plane, take the luggage to the domestic belt, unload each one, then move on to the transit belt and unload the rest. Poor guy! We often blame the people on the ground for being incompetent when in fact it is the company who does not employ enough people. Shame on you, Havas, for having so little respect for travelers that you make them wait and wait for their baggage after a long journey. Antalya airport is infamous for the long delays in luggage delivery and many people would rather travel with hand luggage than suffer the torture. But a bigger shame on you that you take advantage of people desperate for work to employ too few people to do so much work. To the guy behind the scenes, thank you for bringing my luggage, and l am sorry you are treated so badly by the company you work for.
