Our beautiful mosque overflowing with spiritual peace

Imaret Mosque is the only Ottoman mosque in Akşehir. It was built by Hasan Pasha in 1510. The building consists of cut stones. The only big dome of the mosque is deaf. There are domes in four corners that serve as hangers. Three domes held by four marble columns cover the congregation place. There is a fountain with 12 columns in front of the mosque. The bronze bracelet, below the first column on the left side of the entrance to the Imaret Mosque, is filled with the writings of those who visited Akşehir like a memo pad. The most important of these writings belongs to Evliya Çelebi. Evliya Çelebi says in the text he wrote, "Fakir Mehmed Sultan Murad Han - God Confirm Himself - came here with his soldiers. He wrote this on the 26th day of the 1048 Muharrem".
