★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hamamönü is a place that must be visited if you are living in Ankara or if you are visiting Ankara just as a tourist. There are lovely traditional Ankara houses around and you will love old designed pavements. There are many cosy cafes where you can have a drink or eat. In the area you can find the house of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who is the writer of Turkish national anthem. You must visit also historical Taceddin mosque and Musa Bey mosque. There are more small lovely mosques in the area that must be visited too. You can also find some centers where traditional Turkish and Islamic music insturments are played (one example is Neyhane) If you are accommodating nearby, you might want to have a shower in Karacabey Historical Hamam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lively neighborhood with a cluster of Victorian age Turkish architecture. Numerous coffee shops, bars, and restaurants with tourist-friendly attendants. Nice place for shopping local handmade crafts in Ankara. Nice place for a romantic coffee date, and for shopping souvenirs for kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lively area of old buildings and architecture. Packed with cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops, it is worthwhile to spend your time here with your loved ones or even alone to enjoy the lovely environment. For the price of things in here, I think there isn't anything irrational as I think it's all gonna worth the time and atmosphere you can enjoy.
