Daha o yıllarda sabahçı-öğlenci kavramını ayırıp tekli öğretim sistemine geçen ve bunu yaparken de 25 - 27 kişilik sınıfları mecburen birleştirdiğden kaynaklı sınıf mevcudiyetini bir anda 50 - 55 kişiye çıkaran Ankaranın sayılı okullarından birisi. O dönemde her okulda olmayan resim atölyesi, müzik sınıfı, laboratuvar, kütüphane, büyük bir spor salonu ve öğrenci soyunma odaları kapasitedine sahip, tercih edilen bir okuldu. Ancak eğitim anlayışıyla ilgili aynı şeyleri söyleyemeyeceğim. Benim dönemimde ögŕetmen, sorduğu sorunun cevabını bilemediği için öğrencisine tokat atardı, ödevini yapmazsan dayak yerdin, hafta sonu ve açılan ücretli olan fen bilgisi, matematik ve türkçe kursuna gitmediysen yandın. Yazılıda geçer not alsan bile sözlü notunu kırıp sınıfta bırakırlardı. Yani paran yoksa o dersten geçemiyordun, kursa giden öğrencilere özel ilgi vardı. Okul müdürü dayak atmayı çok severdi mesela. Hiç mi iyi öğretmen yoktu, vardı elbet. Yeni mezun genç öğretmenler gayet iyiydi ve başarılıydı. İngilizce öğretmenimiz Kenan Aydoğdu'yu ayrı tutuyorum tabi. Kulakları çınlasın kendisini çok severdim. Mükemmel bir öğretmendi.
