When you go to Rize, I recommend you to visit Güneysu Central Mosque, a really nice mosque atmosphere, teachers, imams, muezzins, congregations, really high quality people, a very nice place, I would recommend you to visit Qibla Mountain at the same time. The mosque has become very beautiful with the support of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
