Günaydın Köfte & Döner Dilovası

Always at the top. Been there twice and I'll always go there when commuting back and forth on the Osmangazi Bridge. They have a seaview patio seating area to parallel the best cafes on the Bosphorus and their food is always on the scrumptious level (you know that level). As for the service i have this to say. The restaurant was full when we went yet the waiter us so much attention we thought we were in a show and were the main attraction. The only drawback is if you choose to sit indoors in the summertime you'll be fighting off flies because they have to keep the glass barriers open. Some people may take issue with this but to us it wasn't an issue. We just pretended we were at a picnic.

This was my first time visiting Günaydın and I have to say that I'm quite disappointed. From the flys in the restaurant and waiters to the presentation and bathrooms, it was a mess. The servers kept messing up our order and though we confirmed a few times, they brought wrong beverages. I ordered döner dürüm and the presentation was definitely not appealing. It felt like I was being served from a street vendor. Dürüm cut in half and placed on a napkin and nothing else on the plate... Then the men's bathroom was a disaster as well. It was smelly, there were paper towel pieces on the wet floor, and the soap leakages from the soap dispenser were ruining the aesthetic of the sink area. Pros: the food is good, the view is really nice, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is calming.

They received the payment wrong and made no effort to correct it. They took our colas before we finish for serve tea quickly. Bad experience.

This food was outstanding, the service was world class attentive and welcoming, the ingredients were fresh and very high quality, the menu had wonderful options, and this location had such an incredible view of the bridge!!
