Gölkay Park Sports Facility

The place is nice, but it's bad that there has been no innovation for a long time. The way to go is a bit troubled business has nothing to do with it, but this is a minus.

I went for the first time today for the let's do it garbage collection event, although it was close, we had not thought of going before. When you pass the bus station as a location, you turn left before you reach the first ramp on the Kandy road (opposite the tiny kiosk). Even though it's a Saturday it's a quiet place for morning hours. There are fishermen, there are bicycle paths from one end to another (there are those who use it), there are water sports, there are plenty of benches and shaded areas to sit on. There were also eating and drinking places, there were a few tent-looking places, but I couldn't understand what exactly it was. If you have children, let them ride bicycles and scooters, and if you want to take a look at the lake and dive into the past, yes, I liked it, but I think it is not such a lively place...

Actually, there are nice social facilities, but they are not active. I think it will be a planned arrangement of the municipality.

The wakeboard area looked very nice, we did not try it, but those who tried it seemed very enjoyable. The facility was not bad, but in general it is a bit neglected. There were lecture-style seats where we wanted to sit and watch those wakeboarding, but it was very poorly maintained and full of batons. Apart from that, it is definitely not possible to go to have a picnic in the summer because there is never a shade. It is a miracle to find a shade area in 200 meters. It is written in the park area that you can walk to a recreation area called Pasa Water and go 5 km and see historical buildings such as aqueducts. But walking in the sun is not really work to be done. There is also a bike path, but I couldn't see a place to rent a bike, you need to bring it with you. In short, it is nice to walk on cool days, but you should choose other places for a picnic on sunny days. You should only come here for sports. Finally, there were a large number of people who fished even though the prohibition on fishing was posted everywhere. And they caught very big fish.
