Goldcity Hotel - Alanya

I have an apartment in there for 3 years and I can not stand the staff at owner's reception they are so rude and always angry! I hope they can change these people.

Gold city is nice and recommended. We have been here several times and are residing already here. BUT WARNING: there is a supermarket in gold city that eats up 4 stars of gold city. We have been so upset to buy things 4-5 times more expensive than real. An ice cream for 20 TL or cream for 60 TL. There is also no price on goods and sometimes it feels that she decides on her wish. Informed gold city several times but no action! So be careful about your pockets.

Five star hotel with very nice view. But far from the city center

Beautiful place

3 stars for the rude receptionist during check-in. Gave us standard room in the main building instead of the villa which we had booked. When we complained he stated that: OK, I can give you villa but what we have is only this one - pointing on the hotel map at the most-most distant villa that they have there. Apparently, he was trying to set us up for a bribe - "bakshish" they call it in Turkey - but we did not go for it. In situations like this hotels usually opt for an upgrade and we received downgrade as standard room is cheaper then villa accomodation. Otherwise everything was good but definetely not a 5-star hotel.

Overall, a very enjoyable holiday. A really high standard hotel. Family rooms are very nice and spacious: two bedrooms, living room and two bathrooms. Rooms clean everyday and a few linen changes a week. Food very good and varied, lots of tables (we only used the main - not a'la carte restaurant). Large swimming pool in front of the main building and an additional one for children. In the Aquapark zone there are some really nice slides, a small swimming pool and some slides for younger children. Free shuttle bus to the hotel beach (it's hard to find free sunbeds) and a paid bus to Alanya. The only attention I have to this place is the service, mostly neutral, and only in a few cases friendly and smiling. I also had a case of inappropriate behavior of one of the employees who changed her tone after informing her that I wanted to talk to the manager. Generally - compared to other hotels in Turkey - the management is not able to cope with the staff. Besides, I recommend the hotel.

Don't consider it as a 5stars hotel. IT SHOULD BE 1 STAR and the exception was massage. The hotel was so dirty and old, doors and cards had problem and we lost the first day of aquapark bcz we couldn't close the door. The Strongbow was out of charge and we coulddn't use it. The plan of lunch, aquapark, snacks, dinner weren't professionally organized e.g. the lunch is 12PM - 14pm and the aquapark 14pm- 16pm then after that the next snack time was at 18pm and additionally we went to aquapark and they were cleaning there at 14pm it means they hadn't cleaned it before starting of the plan. There was just a lifeguard for 100m Beach so he couldn't be able to cover all people...
