Şimdiye kadar kebap (kıyma) yememişim ben dedirten yer. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim salaş bir yer fakat olağanüstü lezzetli sahibi güler yüzlü samimi davranan iyi bir insan
A place that makes you say that I have never eaten kebab (minced meat). I would definitely recommend it, it's a shabby place, but it's extraordinarily delicious, the owner is a good person who acts friendly and sincere.

They have been serving the best kebab in adana since 74 they were the best venue in 80s and 90s. Visited by many high profile people whoever step inside Adana town. İn my taste they still have the best kebab and fındık lahmacun in the city. Of course they are a bit out dated next to their competitors but in taste vise they are pinnacle in adana kebab

You can't miss this place as it is 1) facing a main road and 2) has a prominent red and black signage (proclaiming .."since1974" ). The kitchen and the smokey grills are on the ground floor and on entering the door, you see the famous kebabs one metre- long skewers on display in chilled glass case. Wall hung photos of what must be local celebrites and politicians who have eaten here before. All smiling with the owners and chefs .So i had good feelings already. The dining tables are on 2nd and the roof top ,via a narrow stairs. We ate on the roof top, covered tentage. No air-con, nice chilly noon today. The whole place and the staircase really looks shabby and well used, but wait.......... I took lamb, wife had chicken. The plates came shortly , meat hidden beneath two large slices of hot pittas . We were given a quickie by a Sevket Koc and Emin Yildim on how to prepare it , to stuff into our mouth. You only need a fork and anyway that's all that was provided. No spoon , no knife.. Well, after choosing the accessory ingredient to go with the kebab meat, like the sweet basil,parsely, salsa of lettuce, tomato, onion, julliened carrot, lime juice and really hot grilled chilis .. roll it all up inside the pitta bread with the meat and it should look like 6" long Subway sandwich ready for the first bite.... Verdict? Let me say this, give me this shabby place, with her specialised food and sitting with local patrons ( except us Singaporeans) ANYTIME over those hotel buffet lunches with hundreds of boring choices . The chief chef and co-founder, Mehmet Kabak Diyarbakir and his brother Orhan Kabak who speaks some english, came upstairs to to greet us and they was forced to pose for almost all of us while we drank hot apple tea served in small glasses on saucers. All smiles and chatty. I am sure one of them said that their cooking style has a kurdish tradition or that they are Kurdish people. Anyway whatever and wherever, it's still good old Turkey to us and they were the most hospitable people ...like the whole restaurant managerial staff saw us off at the door. Another memorable meal.
