I think this is the best cafe in Pendik Marina. Espresso based coffees are very good and desserts are fresh and delicious. Overall a good experience.

If you don’t speak Turkish don’t go to this restaurant. They have no respect for foreigners. There are many good restaurants in the marina, so don’t waste your time here unless you enjoy disrespect.

This cafe took 1 hour to give a baby a piece of bread. The waiter took 15 minutes to take out order. The next door restaurant Diego has way better food than Gimm Cafe. Please don’t spend your money on this restaurant that won’t treat you like how you deserves to be.

I really enjoyed the cheesecake and caramel coffee here! Disappointing ending though. The waiter walked off after taking my money without explaining that some other waiter would come back with my change. Not good behaviour at all.

Wow! What a horrible experience. Me and my family walked in to the restaurant for dinner. We sat down and waved down the waiter three times before he came, and then we waited for our food. My cousin’s son was a little tired and grumpy, so my cousin asked for some bread or fries for the little baby just to keep him occupied. The waiter never brought the bread or fries. At this point we had waited an hour and my cousin was tired and her son was crying a lot, so she decided to leave the restaurant. As she was trying to get up with her son, stroller, and baby bag In her hands, my aunt, mom, and other cousin got up from the table to help her. As we got up, the waiter who ignored us 3 times and didn’t bring us the fries or bread came and blocked my family from leaving the table. He angrily yelled “ no no no you can’t leave, you have to pay for the food.” He physically blocked my cousin from leaving the restaurant fearing that we were all leaving without paying. Despite some of the family standing up to help my cousin, me, my brother, and my dad were still seated at the table and I flagged down the waiter to let him know we weren’t leaving. Despite this the waiter decided to block them from leaving. His horrible tone and words angered everyone which resulted in a verbal altercation. The manager came out and helped calm things down, but the damage was done. This restaurant had 3 mistakes on the night. First, the waiter ignored us 3 times, second the waiter didn’t bring the bread or fries for the tired baby, and finally the waiters horrible and aggressive words. If the waiter had only ignored us or only forgotten the fries, I would not have said a word, but the combination of his actions were too far. As an American who has come to Istanbul for 8 years, IF YOU ARE FOREIGN DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. You will be treated poorly and will not get your money’s worth. The marina has many other great restaurants with great service and great food, so don’t waste your time and find a better spot. :)
