Gaaveci Bodrum

Nice place to hang out with friends and family. Good selection of beer and wine and as its name states coffee. Haven’t had any food but all my friends were happy with their order. Last but not least, it has very good view of the historic Bodrum castle.

Watch what you order here. Asked for a negroni (on menu item) and got a java cocktail in a coconut. Returned that after telling them what a negroni consists of, but they had no vermouth. Asked for a margarita, got a vodka sour mix cocktail with salt rim and olives. Gave up by that point and drank it. Turns out it was methanol and ended up vomiting and diarrhea starting 2 hours later and lasting 4-6 hours. I only had this cocktail this night and none of my family got sick and we had the same food. Just stick with beers and raki and you'll probably be safe.

Best barista I saw in turkey. They didn't had cold brew, when I was there, but the iced americano was great. The coffee had a touch of turkish mocca flavour, I guess its the beans, I liked it. I highly recomment the frape there, it had a touch of cinnamon and I loved it! The atmosohere was very cosy and hard to find at the other cafes at bodrum beach.

We go there for a morning swim and excellent latte while on the sunbeds, and an evening cocktail on the comfortable settees. Good service and good live music too.

I visited them at the beginning of November that is the off season for Bodrum. There are not many coffee shop like Gaaveci in the area. The location of the shop is absolutely great. Very convenient and next to the beach if you don’t think about parking your car. Actually when you’re visiting Bodrum, you shouldn’t drive anyway. The view from Gaaveci during sunset is breathtaking. Let’s talk about their coffees I tried cortado, flat white and frappe. The servers were nice, barista Dogan did a really good job with latte art. Presentation was nice. The taste off the coffee were good yet the naming for them was wrong for my taste. Cortado should have named flat white and served in a smaller cup, flat white was an actual latte, and frappe was tasty. I am told they are normally serving food yet as I said when I visit them it was off season and they were already out at late hour. Additional info; they serve alcoholic cocktails too. This place will be packed during summer time.

Berhat and the team excelled! Great cocktails, great service. Nothing was too much. Note that it is a bar and not a restaurant , but you can have food delivered! Will always be back to this establishment!

Very good live music on Fr. 10 Sept 2021. One female singer and 2 guys (drums and guitar). Prices comparable, but nuts are charged additionally which other live band clubs don't.
