Bad service, it takes like 1h to be served. My collague was served first I had to wait 35 minuts, and he allready finish to eat. At least if the waitting was good, but I eat the worst calamari ever. They was freied on a re-re-re-re-re used oil who taste as another fishes... My collague eat a simple spaghuetti who was cooked with a lot of oil. Also the hummus don't taste really good and had much more oil expects on it... Horrible place, really don't go there... And expensive!

They are cheaters. I had asked from the menu with photography a plate with shrimp and calamari, they presented with a plate of three prawns and an onion. As soon as I protested they were about to become almost violent. A heartfelt advice. I left without eating while paying. Avoid this restaurant even if you are starving

The awfulest restaurant I ever went to. The food served is totally different than on the photos. Meat is overcooked, vegetables undercooked, the cheese and bread are industrial, as the rest of the menu. Everything is expensive, and the waiters always try to make you pay more (plus they don't take card, or only if you want to pays in euro because they will take an ultra fee on it). To avoid absolutely in every case, even if you're hungry as hell and it's the last restaurant open

Definitely a place to avoid. The manager was overenthusiastic and passionate to invite us. This can be a telling sign that something fishy / suspicious is going on. We decided to give it a chance and it was a decicion we regretted. We were cheated, overpaid and left diappointed. The restaurant decor is cheap, unlike their food, with the hanging umbrellas above the one charming thing with regards to atmosphere. 1. We were considering between 2 kebaps in the menu. 1 of which was lamb and cost 10 Turkish lira more than the beef. The lamb had a garlic sauce. We asked if we could order 3 beef kebaps, but to try with a bit of garlic sauce for 2 of us. The manager smiled and assured us it was no problem that we can try. We received a separate small plate with not more than 50 grams...more like 30 grams and were charged for 3 lamb kebaps despite ordering 3 beef ones without warning (we were charged 30 lira more). They explained that it was because of the sauce they charged us lamb (even though only 2 people wanted to try the sauce). 2. We ordered 1 juice which we had asked prior to order was 5 Turkish Lira. We were charged 15. When we asked they gave us back 3 lira (Therefore we paid 12 instead of 5) 3. The drinks were not even in the menu, so unless you asked you would not know how much you pay. 4. It was not written anywhere, but there was also service charge that we dicovered was 10% at the end. As the bill is on a piece of paper and written by hand, our service charge was rounded up to 12% 5. As already, drinks were not present in the menu. We asked if they had beer and it arrived in big clay mug instead of a glass. They didn't even tell us what brand it was. Definitely will never go again

First of all I very much love my wife (codename NH). She is away on travels and she visited this restaurant. And she called me very early in the morning to tell me she was RIPPED OFF! Not only did she show me her meal of lobster with ketchup mayo and mustard, she said the place was over prices! How dare you ruin a perfect expensive piece of lobster with cheap fast food condiments! This even made me so sick to look at the photo I ran to the bathroom! Learn how to cook! You dont add condiments on SEAFOOD! This is disgusting. AND I KNOW YOU CHANGED YOUR RESTAURANT NAME! Fish house is NOW Mercan kokoreç. SCAMMERS! Work on your menu, or the chef from hells kitchen will pay you a visit! Zero out of 10 stars!

This place is trash. The portions are tiny, oil is old and disgusting, food is bland, service is deceptive, prices are exorbitant. There's a review here saying the poor reviews might be for the wrong restaurant; however, that reviewer posted pictures of the correct restaurant we are all hating. So, no dude, we aren't getting two different restaurants mixed up, you just have awful taste. There's no mistake - all the bad reviews here are warranted. You're better off eating the food that's left out for the cats. I wish I was joking.

First of all there seems to be mixing up between the restaurants reviews in the area. Some of the photos attached to "fish house" are not fish house. So I presume they were not for the same restaurant. Anyway, the fish house we went to, was really good. We tried grilled fish (delicious) , fried oysters on sticks (they were superb) , and fried anchovies (exactly perfect fried, crunchy and juicy). We are skeptical always about fish restaurants, not really satisfied with them. This one was yummy. Prices, they were not expensive at all, they were resonable enough. And they were as stated in the menu, except they did add a service of 10 tl. We wondered about that since it's not a normal trend in turkey, but we ignored it for it wasn't much, and we considered it a tip. I think the owners are two brothers, they are there all the time we passed the zone. Two days before we ate in the restaurant we were looking for a shop and they helped us find it, actually one of them accompanied us most of the way. They were very friendly with us. Treated us very well. We passed after two days from eating they recognized us and invited us to free tea.

Place you expected to have in the tourist part of the old town, name is fish house, but is more regular Turkish food restaurant. Owner in nice man anyway and the restaurant on the other side of the street is owned by his younger brother. Food is okay, soups are good, shrimps also fine, the only thing that was over grilled was octopus and husband told beer was local effes from the tank, so better to by next door bottle one.
