★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Zoo, worth visiting if you have the time. You can get there with Marmaray, exit on Osmangazi station and take a taxi to the zoo, the ride costs about 2-3 Eur. You have drinks and food insode a zoo, so you can stay there few hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its OK. Really I expected more. The animals and environment is so so. Most of the animals were unavailable. No such indoor activities. There were tracks for ATV or Buggy cars but none were functional. There is also a tour train inside, but that too was not in operation. Ticket for 22USD Adult - 18USD Child.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The zoo is wonderful, but the administration is awful. The price on the website has nothing common with the real price. It appears, that the price for foreigners is about 2 times higher!!! And you cannot know that until you come to the zoo (which is located quite far away from the center).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice zoo with many animals, which are not far away, easy to gaze and sometimes even touch. The kids are overwhelmed and enjoy the day. Animals seem to be healthy and I trust the staff is treating them well. One hint: come early, around 10, when it’s not hot and the zoo is not becoming crowded - most of visitors enter the zoo around noon 12-2pm…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The second largest zoo in Turkey, located in Gebze, one hour and half from Istanbul, depends on traffic situation.
The zoo is well developed and maintained, has most of the animals from around the whole world, except the elephant as per the zoo keepers.
From December to February, the bear may not appear to the visitors due to the winter hibernation.
The full tour takes around 1.5 to 2 hours.
I really recommend to visit Faruk Yalcin Zoo, it worth the visit especially for children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s nice they have Wilde animals there. However the space is small for them. Unfortunately at the time we went most of them where hiding in their homes. The cost is 90 TL per person. I wish if we can know when is the best time to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Various species of animals with nice surroundings.only there are no Royal Penguins,elephants… they sell the tickets for turists even not explaining what a train was. We thought we couldn’t see some part of the zoo without a train,it appeared we could see everything on foot,train was tiny for little kids.though we paid a lot of money for it. Disappointed with extra expenses,but in a whole the place is worth seeing ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place has a lot of activities and a good variety of animals. It has a coffee shop for snacks. The issue is when is bad weather you need to bring a good coat for the kids because you can eat just outdoors. Another issue is if you are not a resident be aware that you gonna pay a different rate. In general, we like the facilities just I think they need to improve the coffee shops.
