Van'daki eski talebelerimle ziyade alâkadar ve merak ettiğim ve bugünlerde Kastamonu'nun Süleyman Rüşdü'sü olan Çaycı Emin, Van'da bulunup o eski mübarek talebelerimin ellerine Nurların yetişmesine çalışması ve o mübarek eski kardeşlerimin hayatta olduklarını bilmediğim ve merak ettiğim ki beraber onların hayatta ve Nurlara müştak olduklarını mektubla haber vermesi, beni çok ziyade memnun eyledi.
Ve çok ferahlı bir hüzün ve hazîn bir eski hatıra-i sürur verdi.
Ben buradan oraya muhabere edemediğim için, benim bedelime Safranbolu kahramanları muhabere etse iyi olur.
