Kalenin ne zaman ve kimler tarafından yaptırıldığı konusunda herhangi bir bilgi bulunmamaktadır. Kale, yöreye özgü kesme taştan yapılmıştır. Kale içerisinde Kral kızına ait olduğu söylenen bir taht, su sarnıçlar......ı, kuyular, çeşitli yapı kalıntılarının temelleri ile mağaralar bulunmaktadır. Günümüze harap bir durumda gelebilmiştir. Eskikale'de Gezilcek Yerler: - Eski kızkalesi(prenses maria'nın kalesi) - Deyrulzafaran manastırı - Deyrulzafaran manastırının yukarısında bulunan dağın eteğinde eskiden ovulmuş eski mağara ve kilise Dêrseyd ve Meryakup... - mahallenin yukarısında bulunan bir mağara Habis olarak adlandırılıyor 3 katlı dağın içinde ev tipi bir mağaradır.. 5 km from the city center of Mardin. Kiz Castle, which is located in the east, is a surveillance and patrol castle structure. There is no information about when and by whom the castle was built. The castle is made of cut stone specific to the region. There is a throne, water cisterns, wells, foundations of various building remains and caves in the castle. It has survived in a dilapidated state. Yapı yöreye has olan düzgün sarımtrak kesme taş malzemeden inşa edilmiştir. Büyükce bir bahçe içerisinde yer alan kiliseye, sivri kemer içindeki basık kemer açıklıklı bir kapıdan giriş sağlanmaktadır. Güneyde yer alan giriş kapısının dilimli kemeri içerisinde; mermer panoya işlenmiş yedi satırlık Süryanice bir kitabe yerleştirilmiştir. Sol en alt köşede 1885 (?) tarihi yazılıdır. Kilise; üç nefli, üç apsisli, boyuna dikdörtgen planlı, ortada dört sütüna, batıda ve doğuda kare ayaklara oturan çapraz tonoz örtülüdür. Neflerin batı bölümü bir duvarla iki kat haline getrilmiş olup, üstte mahfil bölümü yer almaktadır. Kilisenin doğu cephesinde bitkisel motiflerle süslü taş işlemeli mihrabı bulunmaktadır Date of construction: 1885 (?). There is no entrance fee but you can donate.

Eskikale Village Mor Cercis Church. After being ruined for years, repairs and restorations were made. The church, located in a large garden, is accessed through a door with a flat arch opening in the pointed arch. A seven-line Syriac inscription engraved on a marble panel was placed within the sliced arch of the entrance door to the south. The date of 1885 (?) Is written in the lower left corner. The church has a longitudinal rectangular plan with three naves, three apses, and a cross vault with four columns in the middle, sitting on square legs in the west and east. The western part of the nave has been turned into two floors with a wall, and the upper part is located at the top. On the eastern facade of the church, there is a mihrab decorated with floral motifs.
