★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointing food, Great atmosphere
Okay, I should start out by saying I’ve been in Turkey for over a month all along the Aegean and I can honestly say that this is one of the worst restaurants I’ve happened upon. The mezes are beyond strange— a melange of bizarre flavors that culinarily do not belong together. Orange duck? Sardines with soy sauce? Usually Turkish food is under-salted, but to pair a cured fish with a very salty Asian condiment? Salt bomb. There was no haydari— just yogurt with dried chili flakes. Ordered artichokes which I love, being from the west coast of the USA, but these were small and brown and covered in tasteless olive oil. My boyfriend, whose palate is sorry to say, not the best, even said the köfte was bad and he NEVER complains.
Bottom line: food is NOT good and overpriced. Alcohol is overpriced and not generously poured.
I wanted to like this place because the ambiance is super cozy and eclectic. I’m sorry to say it did not live up to the reviews. Tomorrow we will try an overpriced restaurant on the beach. At least you know what you’re getting in Datça at the beach— mediocre food, good views of the sea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice ambience and very good food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. She took care of us very well. Their Turkish coffee was delicious. I would highly recommend to visit this place for chill lunch or romantic dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In my opinion, the main street by the sea is full of mediocre restaurants that guarantee more appearance than existence. We ate here twice and because of this: it was quiet as the little restaurant is away from the crowd, but also better than expected. Recommended if you don't feel like these main street restaurants anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the best food I've had during a month long trip in Turkey. We had the fried veggies, turkish ravioli, pastrami and cheese filled pastry as well as the mussels & shrimp... They were all A-MAZING!! And a fantastic atmosphere

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered 3 mezes, two glasses of wine, two coffee and one octopus. The bill was 355 TL. Mezes were ok, but octopus was too expensive for its quality! Family business. They try to do their best, but the price for this quality is too high! After that dinner we went to the restaurant on the shore and ordered octopus again. The taste of it was much better and price was chipper!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great mezzes, family run
Highly recommend this restaurants. All the mezzes are freshly made, and both the hot and cold ones are great.
As is the manti and the kofte. The staff speaks a little English and will go a long way to ensure your well-fed and happy when you leave.
It’s family owned and run, so you get none of that tourist trap nonsense that you get on the beach. Prices are very reasonable and they have a nice art gallery upstairs.
And don’t turn down the Turkish after dinner coffee, it’s a real treat!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a cute little authentic Datchan restaurant owned and run by one family.. all home made food. I really liked the overall setting in the alley under a huge pomegranate tree. The mom who was on a break generously offered is what she was having for lunch with her family. The food was very delicious and flavorful.
Highly recommend it.
