Esenboga Airport

Do not understand why there are not more direct flights to and from here, capital of Türkiye. It is a very modern building. But smaller than Istanbul.

One of the best international airports in Europe, well organised and managed, professional staff and fasilitated procedures, also the cafeteria has fresh juice and bakeries. Easy to find your way using the signs spreading everywhere in both Turkish and English languages. Not to forget Turkish handcrafts and traditional souvenirs that would capture your heart with beauty and colourful oriented styles.

The CIP lounge is scaled down. If you fly on Anatolu Jet no matter what level status you are have you have to pay to stay at the lounge. Besides capuccino and cold beverages they offer tomato's and cucumbers and bite size sandwich with white cheese, olive pate and tomato. The restrooms could be cleaner. They offer small praying room and shower room. To get there you need to enter through domestic departures gate pass security and turn left, at the end of the wall find the hidden elevator and go down to the ground level. You will pass another security again to enter the lounge. Only one side it is open

No one in this airport speaks English or other language but Turkish even in the international departures. Staff are very careless, rude and not helpful at all. I couldn't find my luggage and nobody helped me with that. They just sent you somewhere to get rid of you cuz they are busy chatting in their mobile phones and if you're not speaking Turkish they don't even try to understand what you're asking about. I couldn't find anyone at the information desk I checked several times but nobody is there. You have to pay for the trolley to put your luggage in it and there is no scale in this airport. To use airport Wifi you need a Turkish sim card and they don't sell it there it means you can't do anything till you reach the city unless you're on roaming data. Water and drinks in the vending machines are 5 times more expensive than in the city. Toilets are not clean. Staff are very rude. Overall, it's horrible. There are NO manners and NO customer service at all.

Awful navigation and extremely poor layout. There are some enormous empty areas, yet some gates are completely missing waiting space. The staff, especially security, are meticulously doing everything "by the book", creating huge lines, but there's no one to help a passenger when help is needed.

Domestic flight out to Istanbul with Turkish, private lounge area with transport direct to the plane, no queues for security or for boarding etc.

The airport is very close. There is no traffic on the check points. The inspection is very accurate.

International Airport of Ankara the capital city of Turkey. Very easy and straight forward airport where everything is easy especially for those 1st timer to travel here. Most of the flight accommodate with sky bridge and easy excess. Wheelchair and disabled friendly where many facilities are everywhere. Main necessary and important outlets such as money changer, pharmacy, restaurants are available and nearby. Praying room is spacious enough for big groups. Friendly and very helpful airport staff.
