It is one of the historical mosques of Erzurum, where important people such as Captain Mehmet Pasha, one of the heroes of the 93 War, were mediated. It can be said that it is sufficient in a very central location.

Esat Pasha Mosque, located between Erzurum Castle and the Clock Tower, is on a high hill overlooking the city. Since the original epitaph of the mosque has not survived, it is not certain when it was built. However, it was learned from the five-line inscription that Poet Cazim wrote that it was repaired by the Governor of Erzurum, Zarif Mustafa Pasha, in 1852. Nuru Osmaniye Mosque in Istanbul was taken as an example in the construction of the mosque. The mosque has a square plan, almost rectangular, and in front of it there is a roofed narthex with six tree columns. The place of worship is covered with a drop of soil. The mihrab and the pulpit have no characteristics. The minaret next to the mosque is made of local red stone. It has one balcony on a stone base. This minaret is said to be the highest among Erzurum minarets. Next to the mosque is the tomb of Nakşibendî Sheikh Osman Efendi, dated 1866.
