Extremely rude desk representative who became vocally aggressive after we declined to upgrade to a more expensive rental. The man also outright lied about the details of the rental’s liability insurance in an effort to scam us into paying more money to them. The rental process was very time consuming, and when we finally got in the car we found out that the tires didn’t have even enough air in them! The tire pressure warning light was on in the car the entire time, even after we added air to them. One of the employees tried to blame the weather for it... I don’t think so. The car also had extensive damage on all sides when we received it. Avoid this company and their lying employees and poorly maintained cars.

Never again. Rented 7 seater Mercedes Benz Vito SUV and at the airport, I was told that they dont even have this car. They offered me Ford MiniVan with damage on the side, 10 seater with no luggage space and no lock for child car seat. Rented from National USA than Forwarded over Enterprise USA and Enterprise Turkey. Contacted all companies for complaint, no one even returned my emails. Never again.

it was a smooth experience. I rented a vw polo and they handed me a corolla hybrid. giving back to car was quick and they refund the deposit immediately.

Such a nice service! After our arrival, we have had a completed all included insurance. But enterprise made us clear that in case of an accident, we need to pay forward and it might take time to take the money from a broker, which we signed the contract with. They offered us an upgrade with a reasonable additional insurance and a very nice car. Price = reasonable. We agreed on that. For good… We had a small accident but without worries, without any headache. Thank you Izmir Airport Enterprise / National for the useful advice!

I rented an SUV from 7/16/2018 to 8/10/2018. As I was returning the vehicle, they asked for more cash to fill up the gas tank even though it was full. When I rejected, they yelled and threatened. I had to get help from the sales rep to return the vehicle. It was a terrible experience. If I was not fluent in Turkish, they would probably force me to pay cash without a receipt. This must be a regular scam, they must be running regularly because the guy was very comfortable with what he is doing. I was very intimated with their bullying and ready to call the cops if the sales rep did not help. It is sad to see that Alamo is working with a local company in Izmir (Yes Oto Kiralama), which employs people who bully, yell and threaten customers to pay cash without any receipt.. I rent a car for a month in Turkey every year and will no longer use any company working with this local service (both Alamo and Enterprise) work with them. Stay away if you can...

Recently had the opportunity to travel to Turkey and took a separate mini trip that included a rental car from Enterprise/Izmir Airport. The process for how you get a rental car is very different for American tourists. I had the misfortune of getting additional insurance from a third party vendor in the case of a car accident, I'd be covered. Unfortunately, Izmir Enterprise doesn't recognize that third party insurance, so they tacked on an additional hefty premium "PENDING" charge in the event that I was in an accident (in other words, they paid for additional insurance). To the unsuspecting tourist that consistently checks his credit transactions, that raised a red flag until I emailed Izmir Enterprise. They also tacked on a second "PENDING" fee that was 2.5 times higher than what the actual price of the rental car was, again that raised a red flag with me. Both times, Enterprise Izmir explained what they did and why they did it. Both times, I was satisfied with their answer. Both times, the pending fee went away after the obligatory 10 business days with my credit card company. Can it be a bit unnerving? Absolutely. Unless you have a printout that clearly shows you purchased additional insurance and not something through your own "at-home insurance rider on your primary" car, you will more than likely incur a pending transaction of insurance to protect THEM if you damage their car. Can you blame them? In the end, good communication and of course, all's well that ends well. I've found Enterprise USA to be an ethical company and I feel comfortable that Enterprise Izmir/Turkey to be an ethical business as well. Rest of the trip was great, the ruins/cities of Ephesus, Selcuk, Kusadaci and of course, Izmir are amazing and genuinely appreciative of Americans coming to visit them.

If you are traveling internationally expect to walk a lot all the way to the domestic terminal with your luggage. I reserved a luxury Mercedes Vito van 5 weeks advance and all I got was a 4 years old 75k miles old junk. This was the all time worst rental experience for me. Van was missing hubcaps. Front passenger seat was not adjustable at all. Ac grills in the back was not working so no cold air in the back. Van was poorly painted and damaged from a previous accident they did not bother to fix it. Tape residue all over the windows. None of the phone charges or the usb port was working. Spending $1400 USD and 2 weeks in this van with 6 people was a disaster. I called in two times to replace the rental but no one bother to return me. I am taking this to enterprise corporation in USA. I have never seen a rental vehicle in this poor condition. I am going to ask for a refund. This location needs to get rid of this vehicle and update their rental policy. There is nothing luxurious about this vehicle at all. This was a total junk and disappointment.
