Elmalı Kilise'nin ilk süslemeleri doğrudan duvara kırmızı boya ile yapılan haç ve geometrik motiflerdir. Kilise 11. yüzyılın ortası ve 12. yüzyılın başına tarihlenmektedir." Burada fotoğraf çekmeyi çok seveceksiniz. görmeden dönmeyin.
"The main entrance to the church is from the south direction, through a tunnel opened from the north. The first decorations of the Elmalı Church are the cross and geometric motifs made directly on the wall with red paint. The church is dated to the middle of the 11th century and the beginning of the 12th century." You will love to take pictures here. do not return without seeing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cher pour ce qu'il est permis de voir (100TL par personne), audio-guide sans réel intérêt et pratiquement aucune église n'est ouverte au public en ces temps de COVID. Je ne peux malheureusement pas recommander.
Expensive for what is allowed to see (100TL per person), audio guide of no real interest and hardly any churches are open to the public in these COVID times. I unfortunately can not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elmalı Kilise, freskleri bakımından Karanlık Kilise ile benzerlik gösteren, iyi korunmuş bir yapı. Fotoğraf çekilmesine izin verilmiyor. Karanlık Kilise’ye para vermeyip yine de içinde ne var diye merak ediyorsanız, burayı mutlaka görün. Çok benziyor. Sadece Karanlık kilise biraz daha iyi korunmuş.
Elmalı Church is a well-preserved building that is similar to the Dark Church in terms of its frescoes. Taking photos is not allowed. If you don't pay for the Dark Church and still wonder what's in it, you should definitely see this place. It looks very similar. Only the Dark church is slightly better preserved.

MS 1050 yılı civarında inşa edilmiştir .
Dört haç şeklinde yapılmıştır .
Bu kilisenin restorasyonu 1991 yılında tamamlanmış ama fresklerin bozularak dökülmesine engel olunamamıştır .
Bu kilisede azizleri , rahipleri ve Hristiyan şehitlerini anlatan sahneler bulunmaktadır .
Ayrıca kilisede Yunanca balık anlamına gelen ΙΧΘΥΣ harflerinden oluşan balık resimleri bulunmaktadır .
Kilisenin ismindeki elmanın resmedilen melek Mikâil’in elindeki elmadan veya civardaki çok büyük bir elma ağacından geldiği sanılmaktadır .

It was built around 1050 AD.
It was made in the form of four crosses.
The restoration of this church was completed in 1991, but the frescoes could not be spoiled and fallen off.
In this church, there are scenes depicting saints, priests and Christian martyrs.
In addition, there are fish pictures in the church consisting of the letters ΙΧΘΥΣ, which means fish in Greek.
The apple in the name of the church is thought to come from the apple in the hand of the angel Michael, or from a very large apple tree in the vicinity.
