Düzce is a village whose history is very old. It is believed to have developed on the ancient city of Heraklia, it is known that it was an important settlement during the Ottoman period. From the Ottoman period in the village; There is a mosque with a single minaret square plan (Kasım Çelebi Mosque) and a madrasah (Kasım Çelebi Madrasa) in its courtyard, an early Ottoman bath. The mosque, which shares a common courtyard with the madrasah, is located to the south of the courtyard. It has a wooden roof with its current state. It consists of a minaret in the northeast of the nearly square rectangular harim and the last congregation district, whose upper cover was destroyed in the north, with a square sectioned pillar only in the northeast corner. The octagonal base of the minaret, which is repaired, is original. It was built by Kasım Çelebi, one of the sons of the universe. According to the Arabic inscription on it, it was understood to be 641 years old. It has a large courtyard. The mosque and madrasa cover an area of ​​approximately 2,500 square meters. The boundaries of the courtyard are the chambers of the Seljuk, early Ottoman period, which managed to survive the November Celebi Madrasa. The mosque, which has a single minaret square plan, was used for spolia (ancient Heraklia ruins). The mosque ruin, which was not used between 1920 and 1936 after its construction, has been the subject of political debates and has been restored in 1936.
