★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most international travellers to this part of Turkey will either stay in Izmir or Bodrum; Kusadasi is the forgotten poorer cousin between the two, about one hour drive south of Izmir and two hours north of Bodrum. I was curious to try this property during low season at rock bottom prices. Given the price tag and the lack of competition from other hotel chains in the area I think it is hard to be overly critical and I thought the hotel was reasonable value if guests have realistic expectations.
I booked a room with marina view rather than the entry level room because I was targeting a Hilton Diamond upgrade to a cottage. Upon arrival I was not offered any upgrade and when I asked if they upgrade Diamond guests they said a cottage would be available but it is cold in the winter and they were concerned if we would like it as we were travelling with a baby. They offered to show us the room.
Upon entering the room was indeed quite cold. There was an air conditioning unit on the roof of the bathroom which was not visible and probably not strong enough to heat a room of this size especially considering the very high ceiling. However the stand-alone heating rods they brought to the room were quite powerful and could keep us warm at all times.
I guess I liked in the room because of its character and brick walls including in the bathroom so in some ways it reminded me of some of the more interesting Design Hotels (Marriott). There was also a rotating TV panel in front of the bed which could be moved to watch TV from the living room which was a useful feature. Also, in the summer this room type would be more attractive because of the private plunge pool immediately outside the cottage.
That said, guests should keep in mind that it’s not at the same level as hotels in Izmir or Bodrum and there were some issues. First of all, the power went out at random times and I had to shake the hotel room card slot near the entrance door to restore it. The water temperature in the bathtub and shower was not very warm even if setting at the maximum temperature. I would not say it was too cold, but it was borderline and perhaps this is less of an issue during the summer. A couple more flaws were that the floor of the shower was bumpy / unstable, and there was clearly a gap allowing day light by the entrance door so insultation was not great.
There was a staff-served buffet in the small restaurant which was surprisingly crowded at this time of year so I asked if I could bring a tray of food to the room as a covid precaution, and they offered to bring it themselves which was appreciated. The buffet was fairly standard for Turkish breakfasts without a lot that stood out but it was serviceable.
I paid barely 50 USD per night so with an upgrade to the cottage it’s hard to complain about the small technical issues and I can recommend this hotel. For people who want a close base to visit the Ephesus ruins, Kusadasi is closer than Izmir.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hard to believe how excellent this hotel is for the price point - we were shocked when we arrived to find such great amenities, a stellar rooftop bar/restaurant with the view to beat, and a staff that treated us like royalty. Special shout out to the bellboy Göksel for being so professional, attentive, and quick to help us all weekend long. Perhaps it is just because we were there in the off season, but this DoubleTree punches far above its weight. We found the rooms clean and modern, the location perfect for those of us launching off to Ephesus and Selcuk during the days, and especially enjoyed watching beautiful sunsets on the rooftop overlooking the harbor. Have already recommended to everyone I know who might head to Kusadasi that this is the hidden gem of the city for travelers looking to spend time at the nearby sights - we'd come back in a heartbeat if we find ourselves back in the city! And thanks again Göksel!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shoutout to the 3 male receptionist, they have been helpful and approached you even if you didn't ask for helps. Good independent employees are rare, they should receive promotion or salary raise. Wonderful stay and clean environment

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love it love it by far it is the best hotel for me in kusadasi in terms of price, service and location. But if you are planning to relax at night and you wanna stay in your room and enjoy a quiet read not a place for you. The music from the next door club is very loud until 12 during the week and later during the weekend.
Other than that they have really great staff and service and the food quality is superb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a lovely 3 night break, all the team were excellent and very friendly.overall our stay was excellent. The only very small issue was woodwork on outside of balconies was weathered and needed a new coating, however this was a very small matter compared to the test of the very good standards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited the hotel in off-season (January). Overall, staff was very friendly (especially housekeeping team). Location is very favorable. We enjoyed our stay but there were a few things that annoyed us. 1) There were electricity cuts for couple of times. This caused interruption of the air condition - it did not turn on after the electricity cut. Hence, the room was extremely cold in the morning. 2) Spa, being located in the same ground of reception, area was very cold. When we were walking from the inside pool to sauna/bath area, we were literally freezing. 3) Once we asked an extra chair to the room for working on the table. The receptionist said that they will check and let us know. Then they forgot to come back to us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one great hotel. Rooms, amenities, food, and the spa were great. We had a family dinner with the most delicious food, overlooking one of the best night views of Kusadasi. The highest level of service that displayed the best Turkish hospitality. Very highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't believe the price of this hotel. Even after considering the relative strength of the dollar, I can't imagine finding this quality and comfort at this price point anywhere else. Maybe it's because I stayed in the off season, but I was astounded. I didn't have breakfast included in the package, but the cost of breakfast was also very reasonable and absolutely delicious. Everyone working there was incredibly hospitable, but especially Göksel the bellboy. I was in town for a quick, private tour of Ephesus, which is very near. Otherwise, I would have liked to have explored the city more, and would have been able to do so easily had I stayed an extra day, as everything seemed to be quite close. Oh, and they even upgraded me to a better room as soon as I got there before I had even seen the one I had booked. Instead, they gave me one facing outward with direct access toward a really nice lane pool.
