Terrible staff. Once i was with my friend who is staying in this hotel. He went inside to pick something from the room, so i sat on a chair outside waiting for him. It was literally 5 minutes sitting there. The receptionist then the waiter came and started shouting on me how i sit there while i am not staying in the hotel. Despite my efforts telling them that I'm waiting for a friend to come out, they kept yelling and exaggerating the matter. They really humiliated me in front of my friend without any reasonable reason.

Do not recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciate comfort and hospitality. Very small rooms, literally you live in a bathroom with a closet. The shower does not fit for anyone just slightly bigger than average. Wi fi was good and then just slowed down and got unstable after just 1 day. Everything in this hotel crys I want to squeeze all your money out of you. They try to save on you at every moment they get. For instance, they do refills of coffee in a restarunt but they can easily put a lot of milk instead of coffee or make a tiny refill with 20% of your cup. And a bottle of water as a free gift from them looks very weird. The only 2 pluses i see - a great location to the harbour and very nice interior of a restaraunt.

Small room at high price. Cramped toilets. Hotel manager, kedir, is more than inhospitable. Policing Like a CID. Avoid and look for better options.

The room that we've got wasn't the same as we have booked. If we have seen this room before, we wouldn't book this hotel. It was for 4 people: 3 single beds and 1 armchair. There's no such room in the photos. When we have told that this room differs from what we have booked, the personnel said that they're fully booked and couldn't change our room. By the way when we have checked Booking.com, there were free rooms at that moment. Next day we have asked to cancel the second night, because the public offer is violated, the only option that they offered was changing the room. But this wouldn't change anything for us because we have lived in the wrong room for the other night. The staff was passive-aggressive and rude with us. I tried to solve this problem on Booking but they declined to answer Booking email for a long time and suddenly the receptionist with good english has forgotten all language and we had to speak using Google translator which was just for wasting our time, he had been typing the same sentence in 10 diffferent variations over and over and didn't let us speak, constantly shushing us and showing his finger. The food wasn't good, we have booked breakfast & dinner option which was a mistake. Breakfast is ok and the woman working there was nice, but the dinner is just a loss of money for such a meal with no choice and bad service. The waiter was rude and violated boundaries in our opinion. Also it's terrible audibility in the rooms, I think the staff was moving furniture in the room upstairs at 00:15 and I have never heard something like this before, I've read that is a common problem for the houses in this old quarter, but this is unacceptable for the hotel room.

We stayed here for one night whilst the hotel actually booked sorted out a smell problem. The room was a bit dark for me (too much wood) as it had a cabin feel BUT the balcony was lovely which meant we could sit outside with a coffee and have a chat which made the room feel so much bigger. There was a lovely courtyard and bar/restaurant area too which was great ? If the ceilings were higher and had less wood (personal taste, i know) with a bigger bathroom i would have given this place 4 stars easily.

I and my best friend stayed at this lovely hotel for my birthday in November 2021st. Even though the tour operator has messed up the rooms and we got a different room than we've picked, the hotel management was nothing but helpful and made their best to resolve the issue. We'd also like to specifically thank the wonderful workers Tevfik and Ercan for being the best entertainers for the baby :) On a side note, the food at the hotel was amazing! Great variety of dishes for breakfast and very filling dinners. We had a great time staying at Dogan Hotel and would definitely recommend it to everyone!
