Bölgenin önemli Rum yerleşimlerinden biri olan 19. yüzyıla ait üzümlü Kilise olarak da bilinen, çan kulesi de bulunan Aziz Theodoros Trion Kilisesi, Ayastefanos Antlaşması gereği Osmanlılar tarafından savaş tazminatı karşılığı olarak Sultan Abdulmecid döneminde yapıldı.
Kilisenin Yunanca kitabesinde şu ifadeler yer alıyor:
"Agios Theodoros Trion'un bu çok kutsal kilisesi, İmparator Sultan Abdülmecid Han zamanında, onun yüksek iradesi ile Aziz İkonion (metropoliti) Neofitos Efendi'nin teşviki ile ve burada (Malakopi) ikamet eden Hristiyanların bağışları ile Haldiaslı baş mimar Kiriako Papadopoulos Efendi'nin zahmetleriyle inşa edilmiştir.
Agios Theodoros'a ithaf edilmiş ve kutsanarak açılmıştır. Ki onun (Agios Theodoros) vasıtalarıyla Allah bu memleketi bütün tehlikelerden korusun. âmin. Sene 1858 Mayıs 15..."
Özellikle yabancı turistlerin daha çok ilgisini çeken Aziz Theodoros Trion Kilisesi, sadece mimari açıdan değil, aynı zamanda, mimari plastik bezemelerinin zenginliği, anıtsal duvar resimlerindeki yüksek kalite ile de dikkat çekiyor.
Kilisenin yapılışında Selçuklu mimarisinden etkilendiği belirtiliyor.
Üzümlü Kilise, her yıl Mayıs ayında Fener Rum Patriği Bartemelos'un da katıldığı bahar ayinine ev sahipliği yapıyor.
St. Theodoros Trion Church (Uzumlu Church)
Saint Theodoros Trion Church, also known as the 19th century grape church, which is one of the important Greek settlements in the region, was built during the reign of Sultan Abdulmecid by the Ottomans in accordance with the Treaty of Ayastefanos.
