It is big and scary at first, but you'll get it after half an hour or so. If you are in transit to Pamukkale and don't know Turkish, just get to the bottom floor — there are Mercedes Sprinter-type minibuses to nearby villages. A one-way ride to Pamukkale was 4 TL, and 4.50 TL to Karahayit. I learned it the harder way — by bothering passer-bys and remembering pieces of French, German and Turkish. If you must spend several hours here — you'll be fine. There are plenty of çay evler (go learn Turkish) to sip tea at, some cheap self-service eateries inside. WC's (1-2 TL) abundant at every floor. Also do go outside of course. Minimarkets and eateries exist around. The algorithm of buying tickets is the same as at other Turkish bus stations: you go from desk to desk explaining your destination in a language you both speak at least a bit, collect their answers (they will give you them on pieces of paper), compare them and buy the ones that suit you.

Large bus station for both long distance and local mini buses. Highly recommend to stay at nearby hotel if you are taking buses.

Be careful if you are a tourist, there are guys who speak English and 'help' you but actually scam you. They hang about near the Entrance on the ground floor. We got scammed on the Airport bus. He charged us twice the actual price. If the Bus terminal had an information counter this would not be a problem. We were there twice, some people are helpful, other counters actually pointed us towards the scam guy.

Pushy scammer on the arrivals floor led us to an agent booth that sold us an overpriced ticket, claiming the bus was direct (it wasn’t) and would arrive 2 hours sooner than it actually did.

Very well signposted station with friendly staff that know some english. Buses can be a bit late so it is good to have patience.
