Чтобы пересечь глубокую ложбину, воду загнали в каменную трубу, принцип сообщающихся соссудов в действии, строить арочное сооружение для водовода было бы слишком накладно. Интересен еще и как образец полигональной кладки. Однозначно стоит посетить!
A grandiose structure! And also advanced for those times. To cross a deep hollow, the water was driven into a stone pipe, the principle of communicating sossuds in action, it would be too expensive to build an arched structure for a water conduit. It is also interesting as a sample of polygonal masonry. Definitely worth a visit!

It is a very nice area for camping. You should bring your water while there is no water. The aqueduct is a must-see structure. The workmanship and architecture are wonderful.

They were architectural arches carrying water to Patara. Located on the Lycian road on Firnaz bay ridges, the arch was built in the middle of the 1st century AD. The building, which is 22 km long, was laid by carving the middle of the square rock blocks in the form of a cylinder and interlocking. It is the most difficult route point of the Lycian road between Patara and Kalkan. From here, the road passes through a bushy and steep rock gorge up to Kalkan. ✌?
