Kızlan, the best and decent village of Datça, is about 10 km from the center and is a cute place when you enter 1 km from Marmaris road before entering Datça. Located on the Gereme Bay road, the village still has agricultural land, mainly olives, almonds, small cattle breeding and Datça's goat breeding. If we draw attention to the fact that the settlement of the village is increasing day by day, the population density is increasing. Especially after the pandemic, a serious increase is observed. Thus, the high prices experienced in every summer resort area increased even higher in Kızlan. The high winds of the mountainous and hilly region, which is perpendicular to the Aegean Sea in the north, caused the region to become a WPP production center. I do not know the meaning of the name and where it came from, but I think the redness of the sunrise every morning is the reason why it was given here as KIZLAN.

Kızlan is a neighborhood of the Datça district of Muğla province. While it was a village of Datça district until 2012, it became a district of this district after Muğla became a metropolitan city in 2012.
