When you come here, be sure to visit the Upper Market, where the Clock Tower is located. Sunday is set up here on Fridays. There are many historical houses in this region. People spread rugs in front of the doors, brew tea and sit. The neighborhood chats and shares the love that the people of the big city forgot or never knew.

I have been living in this city for 4 years. Occasionally I would ask why it is a province. And after touring, I found the answer that Burdur is not a place to be a province. There are a few mansions in the center that you can visit and see. Some of them are also closed most of the time. The places you can see in the center of Burdur are the Taşoda and Bakibey mansions, two museums, Yeşiltepe, lake side, Serenler Hill, Egyptians and Piribaşılar houses, grand mosque, clock tower and old houses clustered close to them. That's all for the center. Clock towers are present in almost every province, but they have no history everywhere. The only difference of the clock tower in here from other places is that it is a historical clock tower. Otherwise, he doesn't have such a joke. It is a work that was built by the governor of Konya, Tevfik Pasha, for the burd, which was an accident in Konya at that time in the 1830s. It was destroyed in the earthquake of the early 1900s and rebuilt in the 1930s. They became a duo in harmony with the historical grand mosque from 1300 right next to it. It used to have a bell, but was later removed. In the center, where the upper market is established, right next to the municipality and the grand mosque. Its side streets are also very beautiful. There are historical houses and buildings from ancient times, most of which have not been touched or restored. It would be a pity if you only see the grand mosque, the center and the clock tower when you come to these sides.

I don't know if it's worth seeing. But it's one of the few buildings to see in the city centre. Next to it is the Ulu Mosque.
