This pond in Çamkoru nature park is a security protected lake very close to Ankara. Entrance is free, but there is no entrance by car, fire, etc. Activities are prohibited. However, you can make your own chair by the lake with your food. There is a camping and barbecue place on the other side of the road across the lake that you wish. It's free there too, but it gets crowded on weekends. If you climb to a high altitude by car, the view is worth having a coffee.

A lake on the hill, the view is beautiful. You can enjoy tea in the thermos. It is not possible to approach the lake with a vehicle. Fishing is forbidden, said the security there. Fire and barbecue are prohibited around the lake. Gendarmerie patrols constantly. There is no business, you bring everything yourself. There is not even a place that sells bread. You have to go down to Çamlıdere. There are barbecue, picnic areas and camping areas across the pond.

Çamkoru pond; At a distance of about ? km from Ankara, you turn left after exiting the Ankara Istanbul (old road) Akyar pass, after a while, after a while, the side with the security booth on the left goes to the pond (I have attached a photo) that side has no walking track, no vehicle entrance, the picnic area is immediately 50 meters ahead, you continue on the wooden bridge on the right (I have attached a photo) and reach the picnic area. The road is fine, the entrance is free, security is available, there is a WC, there is no shower, there is no fountain, there is no hot water, the area is fine and the WCs are quite dirty, there is neither a cafeteria, nor a market, it must be a 1st degree protected area because Turkish people use it. It is a self-preserving (natural) region that no institution takes care of. I would also like to point out that if you are not going to collect your trash and throw it away, if you are going to harm animals and plants (the branches you cut from the trees are green and wet, they do not burn), please do not go, please do not enter.

When you come to Çamkoru, you should definitely stop by. It's so quiet and beautiful that you won't want to leave. Just stray dogs around. They are approaching for food, no need to be afraid.

It is one of the most beautiful places to be preferred in Ankara for many activities such as camping, fishing, trekking and photography. There are special areas reserved for camping.
