A rather special little place that serves authentic Turkish pastry. The big plus is that it isn't prepared but is made from scratch per customer! Now that's a customer experience on another level.

Spoiler - 1 hour waiting ime, I’ve waited for 1.5 hours. Tevfik, who I guess the real person behind the appetite, was working literally non-stop to match the demand. Pretty delicious and above average taste, probably one of the best Antalya börek you can get in the city. You can only order Borek and drinks. To me that’s a sign of expertise and may be preferred but not for you if looking for alternatives. Definitely no info about allergents, so beware. That being said, the waiter was notably awful. Service quality was definitely below par as we haven’t fully received any of our orders, food or drink. On top, we’ve been asked to “wait and roam around the bazaar if we like for 40-45 mins.” When we got back after 30 mins, we realized that our order has been slouched as we were not “on top of it and was waiting outside instead” and waited for another hour. Although it is understandable an elderly is doing all of the actual work and it might take time, the attitude of the waiter was not compensaing and detoriative instead. I would recommend Degirmen or Avcioglu, in both you will get close enough borek experience. However, if you are looking for authenticity, this might stull be a legit choice. Service and ambience making it not worth it though.

One of the most popular places in Turkey. Loved the borek. The owners made it fresh and warm right in front us.plus gave us free turkish tea.

The taste of the börek was great and Tevfik, the owner, was a great person to talk to. The place might be historic and a bit expensive, but he is still doing his thing at his age.

Taste of börek with meat is good, but the one with cheese is not that good because the cheese he uses is low quality. However above all, because he became famous the prices are incredibly expensive for what he serves and in what environment he serves. 14TL for a portion of börek can be cheap for european standarts but super expensive for Turkish pricing standarts. Anywhere else you’d eat a portion of börek for 5 or 6TLs. For such a simple environment and service inside a passage i wouldn’t expect anything more expensive than that... But we (3people) payed 76TL for 5 portions of börek and 4 teas. For 25TL per person i could have had a decent buffet breakfast with unlimited tea and coffee in Antalya... I dont recommend because of this unreasonable pricing...

OMG! Handsdown the best Borek I've eaten in Turkey! I'd go to Antalya again just to eat it. The chef is a local celebrity of sorts and the place is super well-known in Turkey but as yet a hidden gem to tourists. We were lucky to have found ?
