This is the Capital of Gruyere and Kashar Cheese. Unfortunately, the local production has been finished, but you can still find the most beautiful cheeses here. Your main purpose of coming here should be the unique breakfast you will have in the village houses. You can be a guest at Safinaz Hanım's house.

O nedenle girerken kapıyı kendiniz açıyor ve ışığı kendiniz yakıyorsunuz. Tabi çıkarken de kapatıyorsunuz. Içeride de eski alet edevat var. Farklı bilgiler de Edinebilirsiniz fotoğraf açıklamalarından.
I'm giving it five points because this is an eco-museum, so neither public nor private companies do the security, maintenance and cleaning of this place. Only villagers do. Therefore, when you enter, you open the door yourself and turn on the light yourself. Of course, you turn it off when you leave. There are also old tools inside. You can also get different information from the photo descriptions.

If you travel via Bogatepe from Kars to Erzurum give a chance. No need to waste time to go specifically to the village.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheese museum is built upon the ruins of 100 years old cheese factory. It is a very small museum with two rooms one room for old cheese making tools and second is for info boards.
