Beypazarı has a vibrant urban texture with its deep-rooted culture and historical mansions in which this culture is still alive. Beypazarı, which has managed to preserve the basic features that make up the urban texture, still lives in historical buildings, which are the most important elements of its heritage. The settlement areas in Beypazarı were established as mosques, baths, fountains and bazaars due to religious and cultural reasons, as in other Ottoman settlements of the period. The factors in the structuring of the existing historical texture of Beypazarı are various. Many factors such as ground safety, security and defense, cultural and social characteristics, extended family structure, etc. have been directly or indirectly effective. Nested settlement style is adopted in the streets. That's why the doors, windows and gushgona are arranged facing each other diagonally, and no building is built to block the light of the other, as people respect their neighbors and the green. In addition, air circulation, daylight, south and street orientation and the view played an important role in the placement of the houses. With the restoration effort initiated in the early 2000s, the awareness of cultural heritage to be transferred to future generations has been created by preserving the urban texture of Beypazarı houses, around 3500, which have 200-year-old historical features from the Ottoman period. It has been realized that preserving history and culture is more important than demolishing old houses and building apartments. In terms of residential architecture, Beypazarı Houses are two or three storey wooden structures with a bay window or Gushgana. The foundation walls of the houses are made of stone and the rest of wood, plastered from the outside and covered with a tile roof. The part of the houses in the attic that rises from the roof is called “Gushgona”. The part that is left unprocessed (half) on the upper floors of the houses is called “Çantı”. According to tradition, the people of Beypazarı would leave this section unprocessed to emphasize that they had something to do in the world. With the beginning of the restoration works, these parts of the houses were also restored. Beypazarı Houses are decorated with the intricacies of wooden decoration art. The wooden sills, doors, windows, stairs, overhangs, ceiling and floor coverings covering the carrier system date back to centuries. The door is an important element in the Beypazarı house. It determines the cultural and social identity of the family. The knockers also symbolize the social status and status of the people living inside. According to the sound of the knocker, it was decided that the person who came was male or female. If the rings were tied together, it would be clear that no one was in the house. Pomegranate fruit, which symbolizes abundance and eternity with knockers, is highly preferred.

Do not visit the historical houses without tasting the unique flavors of the region. Stew, Tarhana and Stuffed Stuffed are uniquely delicious. Portions are full and prices are very good. I definitely recommend you to taste the syrup made from Beypazarı dried dried cezerye and black mulberry. There is a bit of a parking problem in the region.
