This building, previously known as the Chaldean Church, was used as a cinema for many years. The building was converted into a mosque in 1988. It is known as the Municipality Mosque among the people.

Sade ve nezih bir mekan.
A nice little mosque at the foot of the ancient silvan walls. The local people say that it has been converted from a church into a mosque. With its high rimmed dome, it reminds us of the çermik hazro mosques in the Diyarbakir region. The muqarnas filled trumpets have a distinct beauty. Its decorations remind people of mardin. It is a simple and decent place.
