Türkiye'nin yeni yeni sanayileşmeye başladığı 1950'li yıllarda, Koç Holding'in kurucusu Vehbi Koç, Türkiye'ye döviz kazandıracak bir ürün arayışındaydı. O yıllardaki ülke koşulları çerçevesinde, bir salça ve konserve fabrikası yatırımı için bu alanda tecrübe sahibi olan Bejerano ile ortaklık kurdu. 1954'te kurulan şirketin ismi, Bejerano'nun ve Koç'un ilk iki harflerinin birleşmesiyle Beko olarak tescil edildi. Ancak, ülkenin içinde bulunduğu durum nedeniyle, şirket faaliyete geçemedi.
O yıllarda, General Elektrik ampullerinin satış ve bayiliğini kurma fırsatı doğunca, konserve şirketinin ismi Beko Ticaret A.Ş. olarak değiştirildi. Böylece, Anadolu'da ilk kez bayilik sistemi kuran Vehbi Koç, Arçelik ürünlerini de bu sistemle tüketicinin evine kadar ulaştırdı.
1977 yılında Arçelik distribütörlüğünü Atılım'a devreden Beko Ticaret, 1983 yılından itibaren güçlü tecrübe birikimi ile Beko markası adı altında Türkiye beyaz eşya sektöründe faaliyet göstermeye başladı.
Koç Holding Dayanıklı Tüketim Grubu'nun 1990'lı yıllardan itibaren yurt dışı faaliyetlerine yönelmesiyle, Beko ihracat markası olarak belirlendi.
2000 yılına gelindiğinde ise Koç Holding Dayanıklı Tüketim Grubu'nun yeniden yapılanması sonucu Beko, Beko Ticaret A.Ş. bünyesinden çıkarak, Arçelik markası ile birlikte Arçelik A.Ş. çatısı altına girdi.
Yurt dışında satışa sunulan ilk Türk beyaz eşya markası olma özelliğini taşıyan BEKO, yola "Dünya Markası" olma hedefiyle çıktı. Türkiye pazarındaki başarının 90’lı yılların başından itibaren yurt dışına da taşınmasıyla birlikte BEKO markası dünyanın 100'den fazla ülkesinde 280 milyon tüketicinin günlük hayatının bir parçası haline geldi. Bugün dünyanın herhangibir yerinde her iki saniyede bir, bir BEKO markalı ürün satılıyor.

Turkey's newly industrialization began in the 1950s, Koç Holding's founder Vehbi Koç, Turkey was in search of a product to earn foreign exchange. Within the framework of the country conditions of those years, it established a partnership with Bejerano, who had experience in this field, for an investment in a tomato paste and canned food factory. Founded in 1954, the name of the company was registered as Beko by the merger of the first two letters of Bejerano and Aries. However, due to the situation in the country, the company could not start its operations.
In those years, when the opportunity arose to establish the sales and dealership of General Electric bulbs, the name of the canned food company was Beko Ticaret A.Ş. was changed to. Thus, Vehbi Koç, who established a dealership system for the first time in Anatolia, delivered Arçelik products to the consumers' home with this system.
In 1977, Arçelik, Beko Trade distributorship Leap to deactivate, under Beko brand name with strong experience since 1983, Turkey began to operate in the white goods sector.
With the Koç Holding Durable Goods Group's focus on overseas activities since the 1990s, Beko was determined as an export brand.
In 2000, as a result of the restructuring of Koç Holding Durable Goods Group, Beko became Beko Ticaret A.Ş. by leaving the company, Arçelik A.Ş. entered under the roof.
Being the first Turkish white goods brand to be sold abroad, BEKO set out with the goal of becoming a "World Brand". BEKO brand with the transport abroad since the beginning of 90 years of success in Turkey has become a part of the world market of 280 million consumers in over 100 countries daily life. Today, a BEKO branded product is sold every two seconds anywhere in the world.
