Barut Lara

First time in Turkey for about 5 years and first time in Antalya. Hotel is fantastic, one of the nicest we have stayed in, not too busy just nice. Sun beds were at a great distance from each other and plenty of them. Bars and entertainment was great. The entertainment staff were lovely, Martin and Pekcan are fab, soo funny and remembered names and have a real laugh. My son loved joining in their games at 12 every day and the Hollywood night and Oktoberfest we’re amazing. We will be back again! Thank you!

We stayed at the Lara Barut Collection in mid-October with our 5 and 7 year olds and had a fabulous time. The hotel is excellent, with a real sense of relaxed class. High end drinks are all included, along with as many trips to the a la carte restaurants as you fancy. (Although these do book fast!) The family room was spacious and comfortable, with fruit and a regularly restocked minibar included. Food is exceptional, especially the sushi restaurant. Drinks a delight, particularly out in the gardens or the beach bar. Kids had a blast, with lots to do without being overwhelming. The staff are all wonderful, with a sense that they genuinely want to help make your trip special. The kids club staff in particular - Sultan, Ebru, Ebi and Susu - are incredible, swapping between five or six languages while making all the children feel welcome and cared for. Our youngest was in heaven and frequently harassed us to get moving because she was missing out on kids club time! Additionally, there's just so many little touches that make the stay amazing, like the complementary beach bag or the waterproof phone bag, that I couldn't list them all. Do yourself a favour and book to go! You won't regret it.

I had a lovely week at Lara Barut Hotel in Antalya, Türkei. Spring 2021. Nice and quiet at this time of the year. Friendly personnel, good food, cozy bars and a fancy restaurant. Their public relations officer told me the hotel would undergo renovation by the end of that year. Likely finished now. Enjoy life!

I can't understand how come there are such reviews about the hotel. We initially planned a stay of 6-7 nights. After seeing the interior and going to the room, our mood was already down. The rooms are absolutely ugly, soulless, they are spacious but that's it. The minibar is a disaster, the decoration (if one can call it so) is ugly, no plants, nothing that is nice, as if they just brought random items and put them in the room. Absolutely not 5 star level. Not even 3 star level. Then we went to the open buffet. The place looked like a hostel canteen. The area was dark, there was nothing nice about it. The tables, the order, the quality were all bad The outside area is big and spacious but that's it. The hotel has nothing that requires a bit of work or maintenance. The dinner was worse, the shrimps were not good. So we we stayed one night and left. It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in our lives. Absolutely not worth the money, it is a rip off for what it offers.

Could not fault it. Exceeded our expectations. Everything was on point. about 8 restaurants to eat from, great food, even in the buffet. Service was impeccable. Great for kids too, the park is open til late and there's always some activity going on. The beach is better than the surrounding hotels, cleaner and just chilled.

We had a great stay here in October 2021. While not as glitzy as some of the other Lara resorts we have stayed in, Barut is certainly classier. We enjoyed the stay immensely. The service and food was all excellent. This will be our first choice resort in Lara now. The kids really enjoyed the cat house as well.

We booked here for 3 nights hoping for a nice relaxing stay after travelling in Turkey for 2 weeks. We got to the hotel 1 hr before check in, where the receptionist offered us a great upgrade deal to the next room up. The great deal cost more than what we paid for our entire stay (older suite), so we ofcourse declined at which point we were told our room isn't available until check in time (I look at room availability before and after my stay for this reason and my booked room was available). We were then told we can't make reservation at the a la carte restaurant for the day we check in as they have a weird app system to make the reservation, that ends before check in. We were also unable to make reservations for any of the other nights using this app. We managed to get a reservation for every night, but, only after asking the guest relations desk. We were constantly pressured to buy bottles of wine or pay for something extra and this takes away the whole relaxation aspect from an all inclusive "concept". Their buzz word here is concept and you will hear it a lot. The doctor here is horrible too, she is rude and not professional at all. Other guests had same issues with her as well so it wasn't just us. All in all, the room was nice, even though the receptionist kept saying it wasn't, which in itself is bizarre given its a suite in the same hotel. Charging double for a room that is more modern is insane. The food was good, but, the drinks were not. 2 star experience.

I took my parents to Barut Lara Hotel in September and we all had great time. I have been to many 5 Star Hotels and this one is one of the top. The team was very friendly, the choice of food selection was above standard and we loved the huge garden area. Beach was beautiful. The only downside; some of the rooms need update. Other than that it was perfect.
