Balık Gölü

After passing through the village of Pınarlı, you continue for a while and reach the plateau houses at the bottom of the mountain, then you take your way through the forest and finally arrive. The last few kilometers are only stony, so there is almost no road. With that in mind, I recommend you set out. It's a cute little lake. It got this name because it looks like a fish when viewed from above. You can take a walk around it and watch the reflection of the mountain in the lake in fine weather. I went 2 times with an interval of 2 years and noticed that the water level had decreased a little.

The road is not bad. Just because I have an all-terrain vehicle, I say don't trust and hit the road. The lake is very beautiful, but it is very small, and when you go through all the long and unpredictable roads, one inevitably comes to expectation. The entrance fee is 15 TL (Transporter). The business is open. Navigation can be misleading, there are enough plates and you can reach them by following them.

It takes between two and a half and three hours from Artvin center. As a route, you can follow the route of Şavşat Ciritdüzü, Veliköy and then Pınarlı village. As far as Pınarlı village, it is on the asphalt and concrete mixture road, which is broken in places. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Unfinished road works continue in some parts of the road. After Pınarlı village, the asphalt road continues for a few kilometers, then turns into stone and soil. The last 5-6 km of the road can be problematic for vehicles with a low bottom.

The nature is a wonderful place. We had the opportunity to camp here for 3 days in July. It has a business. You can dine here if you want. Fish meatballs etc. The manager is a very polite woman. There are sinks and prayer rooms, and it is very clean. No shower facility. The only problem here is that the road is extremely bad and narrow. My advice to campers is that it gets cold at night, be prepared. Camp fee is 35 TL per tent.

After Pınarlı village, the road is pretty bad, but the view you see will be worth it. The establishment on the lake shore is also convenient and delicious. You should definitely see Balıklı Lake.

Located in a magnificent nature, the Balıklı Lake reflects the beauty of a different photo frame from every side. The endemic plants and flowers around it make the visuality even more impressive.

We went last year, this year it was a fate. While we were at Şavşat Karagöl, we decided to stop by again. It is approximately 20 km from Şavşat Karagöl. You can reach it via Velikoy-Pınarlı. The road is not bad, although it narrows in some places, it is a small, cute lake that can be reached by passenger cars. It has a thin, long, fish-like shape, so it may have been called a fish lake. The view is beautiful, there is a fountain by the lake and the water of this fountain is very delicious. You can't get enough of the taste. There is a place for those who want to camp. Borcka Karagöl and Şavşat Karagöl are quieter than campsites. There is a business by the lake. This business was closed last year because its tender was not made, this year it provides active service. They serve food, tea and coffee. A fee is paid to this establishment for the camp site. I think they charge a fee of 35 TL per tent. I know that they also charge parking fees for those who come for daily visits and picnics. Those who come to Balık Lake can also visit Arsiyan Plateau and Arsiyan Lakes.
