★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Bazaar is similar to the Grand Bazaar in İstanbul. It still has the air of old Şanlıurfa. There you can find lots of shops that sell hand-made tools like knives, axes, and farming equipment. It also has the most famous spice, dried red pepper, that is grown and produced in Şanlıurfa. In this bazaar you can also taste famous liver and chicken kebabs with special chili sauce. One of the best aspects of this bazaar is it is very easy to access. There are many parking lots nearby and Balıklıgöl is also walking distance away, which makes it a must-see attraction in Şanlıurfa. This is the place to get souvenirs in Şanlıurfa.

The major part of the bazaar was built by Suleyman the Magnificent in the 16th century and is filled with of inns and bazaars; concentrated around the Gumruk Han/Inn that retain their historical character.
The oldest section of the Urfa Bazaar is called the Bedestan. Kazzaz Bazaar, built in 1562, had shops on both sides of the inner passage selling fabric, local male garb and female dresses, and, stacks of purple scarfs. This ancient caravanserai has been selling silk goods for centuries
