After Goreme, Avanos is one of the liveliest towns in Cappadocia, tourist but also traditional where you can breathe a relaxing air walking along the "red river", taking a gondola ride, climbing to the top of the fortress to satisfy your view with a splendid panorama, or tasting an excellent Turkish coffee in a café dug into a tuff cave.

I can say that it is the most developed district of Nevşehir. There are famous potters in the centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kızılırmak ilçeyi ikiye böler geçer. Nazlı nazlı akarken dalgaların sesini duyabilirsiniz. Irmak kıyısında çayınızı yudumlarken hem suyun akışını hem kazların ekmek kavgasını görürsünüz. Salnanan köprüde ırmağın üstünde durup bakarsınız. Çömlek işçiliğini görürsünüz. Sanat sokağında el emeklerini incelersiniz.
The Kızılırmak divides the district into two. You can hear the sound of the waves as they flow softly. While sipping your tea by the river, you see both the flow of water and the fight of the geese for bread. On the swinging bridge, you stand on the river and look. You see the pottery work. You examine handicrafts in the street of art.

The land of mystical history and beauties. A humane smiling face, the city is clean, the Kızılırmak has added a different privilege. The land is the place where the masters turn to art with glasses in their hands. A must-see heritage. The Japanese don't come from the other side of the world for nothing :-). Accommodation facilities are clean, beautiful and historical.
